Yup. I have had quite a few gay friends in my life many of them men and a pretty significant proportion I now keep at arms length because of exactly this sort of toxicity.

It makes me so sad because these are friends who I supported through trauma and who had my back when I needed help and yet recently (over the past few years) several of them have taken to spouting misogynist rhetoric or just disregarding the opinions of any woman who might not be in total agreement with them. I fortunately haven't seen any of my gay white friends former or not start spouting racism, but I don't doubt it's there. Where there's misogyny there is always racism.
